Project Description

Utah Valley University is fortunate to have access to a year-round supply of relatively tepid ground water. This ground water is pumped from wells and directed through heat exchangers, then returned to the ground, acting as a heat source and heat sink for the heat recovery chillers in the new Lower Plant. This system has contributed to the University having one of the lowest heating and cooling energy consumption rates of all state owned and operated buildings, all without consumptive use of water at the plant.
