Construction of this mulit-year project paused each July to accommodate the migration of the Yellow-Billed Cuckoo, a protected species, with annual birdwatching groups monitoring its movement.
The rebuilt section of the park had previously suffered repeated flood damage from runoff, so the new design carefully considered the river’s path and flood potential.
As part of the improvements, two new ranger staff houses were constructed, and our electrical team provided upgraded systems for new campgrounds, restroom facilities, and pavilion – enhancing both functionality and the visitor experience.
