Heat recovery chillers connected to the campus condenser water distribution system, coupled with evaporative cooling, plus chilled beams in the laboratory and water-source VRF elsewhere yield an measured EUI of this laboratory building with 70 hoods, of 35 kbtu/sf/year, roughly one eighth the energy consumption of similar buildings in Utah.
