The UTA maintenance facility is a 170,000 maintenance shop combined with a 40,000 SF office building to service the growing fleet of compressed natural gas powered busses. The facility includes approximately 150,000 SF of radiant floor heating, two large energy recovery ventilators to provide code required ventilation, supplemental heating and direct evaporative cooling and a dedicated natural gas exhaust system that is connected to a gas detection system. The office space is served by a DX VAV air handler with evaporatively pre-cooled condensing unit to increase cooling efficiency by approximately 30%.
